Jacob's passion for
swimming began at Walnut Creek at the age of 10. It was immediately
clear that the sport would become his favorite over soccer and
baseball. He swam in High School for Park Hill South achieving a
letter and being a part of the state team in 2006. Since then he
has taught swim lessons to all ages and lead the pre-competitive
swim lesson program until coaching for Northland United in 2006. "I
enjoy the competitive atmosphere but really feel rewarded when
swimmers can learn new concepts that make them better athletes and
more confident students." Jacob attended Maple Woods Community
College and the University of Montana. He has returned to NLU
excited to work with all ages and is currently Working on a degree
in Education that he hopes to one day use to teach science or math
